The Johannes Nepomuk chapel, built in a dominating position on the Steinberg on the road to Schönlinde, is a baroque hall church with a mansard roof, crowned by an eight-sided ridge turret. The exterior is articulated by wall-high Doric pilasters, the gable is framed by volutes.

After his salvation in the War of Austrian Succession in 1745, the later dean of Rumberg, Anton Florian Schoßig, vowed to build a chapel dedicated to John Nepomuk, for which he offered 300 guilders in 1757. Among other donors, Prince Joseph Wenzel von Liechtenstein donated an equal amount as well as the building materials. The votive church was finally built between 1775 and 1777 according to designs by the Salm master builder Joseph Hoffmann from Hainspach. [Source: Wikipedia]
