The Leyerbachtal nature reserve (also called the Silbertal nature reserve) has been subject to the change ban since November 15, 2001. It has a size of 15.13 ha. It is a larger sole brook valley. The 80 to 100 m wide valley floor is planted with riparian forest. The central area of the NSG is characterized by a species-rich, partly moist meadow. Poplar forests should - as has already started in places - be converted into near-natural deciduous forest stands. The stream flows mostly in natural loops and forms gravel banks.
