Chapel of St. Rochus, Nenzinger Himmel
The Roman Catholic chapel of St. Rochus (also: corridor chapel or St. Rochus path chapel) in the St. Rochus plot in the Nenzinger Himmel district.
The chapel that exists today was built between 1850 and 1852 to replace a previous building from the 17th century. Based on the altarpiece from 1630, it is assumed that since Nenzing was hit by the plague at that time, the chapel was consecrated to the plague saint St. Rochus. In the 1960s the chapel was renovated and new frescoes were added. These frescoes were removed during the renovation in 2001-2002.
