The half-timbered church Wentdorf was built as a hall church in 1663, a year later the church got its altar (late renaissance). The wooden bell tower dates from the 18th century.
Between 1999 and 2006 the church was renovated and refurbished.
For me, the pretty, little half-timbered church is always a nice photo opportunity.

Cycling
The wooden bell tower was added in the 18th century and rebuilt after being destroyed by ball lightning in 1954. The church pews from 1664 have impressive bench cheeks, the simple beauty of which really comes into its own once the pews have been refurbished.
