Illerursprung

Here you can see how the Iller is created by the confluence of three rivers. Very interesting play of colors, because each inflow has a different color. To reach from Oberstdorf over an easy footpath.

In Oberstdorf direction Rubi is the "Illersprung", here is the brooks Trettach, Stillach and Breitach Iller. It flows over the Danube into the black sea.

You can run a circular route of varying length along the rivers. This is an alternative in bad weather when you can not get to the mountains.

The origin of the Iller is always worth seeing, by bike along the Iller dam or on foot from Fischen towards Oberstdorf.

The source of the Iller can be easily reached on foot from Fischen and Oberstdorf. The three rivers Breitach, Stillach and Trettach then form the Iller, which flows to the Danube. A nice place to stay.

The bronze cast entitled "Illerursprung" by Walter Kalot stands today directly at the confluence of the Trettach, Stillach and Breitach. The three reclining female figures symbolize the source nymphs of the three streams.
