  • If it happens that there is a lot going on on the Alpe and you can not get a seat, it is advisable to avoid the nearby Richteralpe and stop off here. Personally, I find this Alpe even more beautiful!

  • The Gaisalpe is an old, rustic inn. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside under old chestnuts. The dishes are very tasty. Several hiking trails converge here.

  • Nice view of the Rubihorn.
Recommended the Gaisalpsee about 1 hour from the Alpe. Descent via Tobelweg recommended, or via the Walraffweg

  • Very delicious Kaiserschmarren and great views of the peaks around. Good starting point for larger tours eg over the Rubihorn as well as shorter hikes from the valley.

  • Here it pays to take a break. I ate Kasknödel. They were really tasty but actually we were two too many. The stuff pretty. If you have made the ascent to the Alpe you can get something cool to drink here. Then you can continue your round

  • The Gaisalpe mountain inn is a popular destination north-east of Oberstdorf. From the hiking car park in Reichenbach you can reach the mountain inn within an hour. In summer, we recommend the attractive Tobelweg, which leads up to the Gaisalpe along the babbling Gaisalpbach stream. In winter, the mountain inn can be easily reached via the road. This is also ideal as a toboggan run during the cold season. Berggasthof Gaisalpe is open almost all year round. In winter it is open daily from Boxing Day to Epiphany, after that Monday and Tuesday are closed until Easter Monday. There is no rest day in summer. Mountain lovers are provided with culinary products that mainly come from their own farm. Meat, milk and butter in particular come from our own production.
