Trekking from Namche Bazar to Tengboche you must cross the Dudh Koshi River. The Namche Bazar exit point is at about 3,600 m. The foot path follows the contour line high above the river at first and later at Sanasa descends to the small settlement Phunki Thanga where you cross the Dudh Koshi River on a suspension bridge at 3,300 m. After a steep climb of about 600 m, you will get to Tengboche Monastery at 3,860 m.
