Border post 323 is one of the 365 cast iron posts that span the entire Belgian-Dutch border (458 km). These were placed in accordance with the Maastricht Treaty of August 8, 1843. After Belgium declared its independence in 1830, the Separation Treaty was signed in London on April 19, 1839.
