Flat, quiet path always along the stream. The path is called "Gustav-Heinemann-Weg" - reason: The walk of the third Federal President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Gustav Walter Heinemann, used to lead along the Felderbach. When he visited son Peter and grandson Robert in Nierenhof, he ran for relaxation through the Feldbachtal.
Gustav Walter Heinemann was Lord Mayor of Essen from 1946 to 1949 and Federal Minister of the Interior from 1949 to 1950. From 1966 to 1969 he was Federal Minister of Justice and from 1969 to 1974 Federal President.

Can also be cycled on the bike. But please consider: many walkers and dogs!

The brook ripples next to the path, but in some places there is also a playground for kids or dogs.
