It is believed that the construction of the originally dedicated as Margaret's Chapel small church on the missionary activity of Saint Swidbert from England at the turn of the 8th to 9 Century goes back. The exact age of the Windrather chapel is unfortunately not known. It can be assumed that at the end of the eighth or the beginning of the ninth century, as a result of the missionary activity of St. Swidbert was built from England on the site of a pagan place of worship.
