Thief's crib - this is what is popularly known as a chimney that was created by a landslide along the Kernberghorizontal, which (along with similar chimneys) was often used by robbers and thieves as a hiding place; on narrow paths along the slope, a wonderful view opens up of Wöllnitz and the Pennickental as well as the districts of Jena in the adjacent Saaletal;
