The High Peak Trail is a 17.5 mike trail which offers dramatic views of the stunning Derbyshire Dales countryside between Cromford and Parsley Hay (where it joins the Tissington trail) and continues up to Dowlow (nr Buxton). As well as being traffic-free and suitable for walkers and cyclists the trail is rich in wildlife - there’s an abundance of wildflowers in spring and summer.

I found the High Peak Trail to be much quieter and less crowded than the Tissington Trail.

some great surroundings in parts, but honestly more boring than other routes in the peak district. the flatness of the trail makes it easier to walk long distances, but a lack of hills means views are less interesting/dramatic.
