Lovely village, can be really busy most weekends and during the summer. Top of the trail from Dovedale, only about 6miles of more or less flat gravel alongside the river dove.

Secluded village in an attrctive location. Lots of visitors coming up from Dovedale though. Small local shop sells sandwiches, ice creams and hot drinks. Great for a relax after a days hike. Good starting point to explore Dovedale, Biggin Dale and Wolfcote Dale. Free car park 300 yds from village centre.
