The fortress is now a recreation area and a non-accessible bat sanctuary. You can walk around the fort moat, visit the fort under supervision and fish on the fort moat. Occasionally there is also a mountain bike race on and around the fort. The guides of the Fort van Kessel guides are happy to give you a tour of the fort. The exhibition "Treasures of the Commander" gives a glimpse into the eventful history of the fortress. An activity can also be booked for children.
