This memorial north of the Kennedy Bridge on Moses-Hess-Ufer commemorates the old Jewish synagogue that was probably set on fire by SS men during the November pogroms on November 10, 1938 and was demolished shortly thereafter. The remains of the foundations can be found on the opposite side, which are protected as archaeological monuments.

A simply designed memorial to the synagogue that was burned in 1938 and stood roughly where the Hilton Hotel is now.

On the promenade on the banks of the Rhine in Bonn, between the trees of the avenue, there is a memorial that commemorates the darkest chapter in German history: During the Reich Program Night in 1938, the synagogue in the city of Bonn was also burned down. The memorial is designed as a depression to which steps lead down, which is somewhat reminiscent of a Jewish mikveh (ritual bath). The Star of David rises in the middle of the depression. Two memorial plaques are placed about one meter apart on the wall that separates this area from the lower level of the Rhine promenade.
