The tidal power plant was inaugurated in 1966 by General der Gaulle. 24 immense turbines produce electricity for the region through the constant alternation of ebb and flow. Further down the Rance estuary you can still find old mills that work on the same principle, but were not used to generate electricity.

Inaugurated in 1966, this dam still produces green electricity for the region. On the other hand, the siltation is important on the Rance side.
