Hiking

This fish ladder was completed in 2004. It is located on the left bank of the Schwentine at the "Old Schwentine Bridge". It became necessary because the natural crossing from the Schwentine to the Baltic Sea was blocked by a small hydroelectric power plant. This led to massive criticism from the fishing club because it had a significant damaging effect on the fish migration, especially the sea trout, salmon & eel.
