It was already a ruin at the end of the 18th century. Artificial ruins are apparently a stylistic element of English landscape gardens. Until now, I only knew the building from the view from the palace gardens. Only now did I learn that a cycle path runs underneath it (from Brühl, follow the signs towards Schwetzingen/Heidelberg).

Behind the Schwetzingen Castle the tourist business is practically zero! You just have to find the right place. The Roman aqueduct is a very beautiful replica of the arcade lines from Italy.
