The northern end of the garden is formed by the impressive ruins of the Roman water fort with three artificially ruined aqueducts. Built from tuff stone, the building is reminiscent of Roman medieval architecture.

Cycling
It was already a ruin at the end of the 18th century. Artificial ruins are apparently a stylistic element of English landscape gardens. Until now, I only knew the building from the view from the palace gardens. Only now did I learn that a cycle path runs underneath it (from Brühl, follow the signs towards Schwetzingen/Heidelberg).
