On December 15, 1911, the local council took the initiative and unanimously decided to build a water pipe. On the morning of Christmas Eve 1911, the community assembly also gave its consent to the construction of the water tower with 166 yes to 86 no votes. In April 1912, the local councilors agreed to purchase the land needed to build the water tower from a local master carpenter. The purchase of the land for the headwaters in the Kolomansau took place in January 1913. As the year 1913 came to an end, the construction work on the water tower and the waterworks in the Kolomansau was completed. 190 house connections were noted in the following years, including, in addition to numerous Ismaning citizens, the Ismaning power station, the paper factory and the community with the office, the boys' and girls' school and the school sisters' house.
