The Lauterachtal cycle path between Schwarzmühle and Schmidmühlen has been newly paved and is great for riding. The scenery is very beautiful. Be careful on the bends, oncoming traffic is possible, some people even ride next to each other when it gets unclear. The section between Adertshausen and Schwarzmühle is not paved, however, here it is clay with gravel and partly forest floor. You can still ride with 23-inch tires, but it is not as nice. In my opinion, only the section between Schwarzmühle and Schmidmühlen is fully recommended. Update 04/2024: now the section between Adertshausen and Schwarzmühle is also paved!
