Hohenburg is a market with a beautiful town center, sights include the bat house, the "Black Town Hall", the church of St. Jakobus and the pilgrimage church of Stettkirchen. The castle ruins of Hohenburg are located high above the village on the Schloßberg in the area of the Hohenfels military training area.

Nice little place. There is a small market shop in the center. Owners are super friendly and we have a short break here as part of the MTB tour over the Jursa dough. Highly recommended!

We use Hohenburg or Schmidmühlen to eat when we are out on the Jurasteig. The places are of course beautiful for hiking or cycling.
