The Gravel Walk used to be a popular walk in regency times for suitors to take their ladies to the Assembly Rooms for a dance. This walk is featured in one of Jane Austins novels and is part of the route for the Regency parade that takes place in Bath every year. Today it is a peaceful wooded walk that flows between the Royal Crescent and Queens square.
