Bike Touring Highlight
From here you have great views of the lake Selenter.
The 22.4 km² Lake Selenter is the second largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein. It is 34 m deep and lies at an altitude of 37 m above sea level. The lake is dewatered over the only 10 km long Mühlenau in a northerly direction to the Baltic Sea.
The emergence of Lake Selene dates back to the Weichselian period, which formed a basin and at the same time formed up to 90 m high end moraine walls in the south. The pond is from the perspective of geology a so-called tongue pond.
Among other things, the lake is known for its abundance of fish. There are eels, perch, pike, whitefish and roach in the lake.seen.de/selenter-see
