Daskov was originally owned by the family of murderers who died out in this line in 1730. Marie Luise Countess Bernstorff used her financial resources to build the new mansion between 1903 and 1910. Stones and building supplies were transported by ship on the Recknitz. Directly below the manor house is located on the Recknitz a Wasserwanderrastplatz.
