One of the smallest galleries in the world is located in this transformer tower with a tent roof and yellow clinker bricks. It was built in 1935, 20 years after Reitwein had been electrified with the construction of the first transformer at the estate. The overhead lines that were common in the country at the time were stretched from the tower to the house gables. With the transition from the era of overhead lines to underground wiring, its fate was sealed. The 4 square meters in the now empty transformer tower were just big enough for the TV journalist Michael Pommerening to found the third station of his project "Art in Unusual Places". The gallery in the transformer house is always open. At any time of the day or night, those interested can illuminate the interior at the push of a button, then a sound collage starts and they can view a handful of works of art.
