The Huysburg Monastery (Benedictine Priory of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven) is a Benedictine monastery at an altitude of around 300 metres on the Huy, a wooded ridge north of the Harz Mountains and nine kilometres north-west of Halberstadt in the Harz district of Saxony-Anhalt.
Assigned to the municipality of Huy under constitutional law, the Huysburg Benedictine Monastery belongs to the diocese of Magdeburg under canon law, but is exempt from it.
The patron saint is Mary.
The Huysburg is the first stop on the Way of St. James in the Harz region and is located on the southern route of the Romanesque Road.(Source: Wikipedia)
