The Berghaus Palfries is located at the foot of the Alvier summit. The almost continuously paved road from the Rhine Valley side meanders past more than 600-year-old Walser settlements and ends at the parking lot at the Berghaus. The moment when you drive over the crest and see the imposing Alvier with the Churfirsten in the background for the first time motivates you to go on for many more kilometers. The view of the Rhine Valley, Lake Walen and the Churfirsten is simply magnificent. Then another piece of cake, what more could you ask for?
