The restaurant was in a residential building at Mohriner Allee on the corner of Buckower Damm in Berlin-Britz, which was demolished for the Federal Garden Show.
According to legend, regular guests then erected a huge monument to their restaurant. Since 1985 there has been a larger-than-life, sitting gray animal silhouette by the sculptor Eckhart Haisch in the same place. At first it blinked golden in the sun. Over the years she has become a "rusty donkey". The artist wanted this effect. It should show transience. Text by Klaus Tolkmitt
