The cave itself is amazing and well worth the visit! For cyclist just stopping at the cave entrance is also nice, as there is a beautiful park.

The Postojna Caves are a work of the Pivka River. The cave system known today comprises more than 24 km of underground passages on 2 levels between the entrance and the Planina cave. Visitors ride in on a cart-style train like Indiana Jones.

Super great caves! For €60 p.p. P. you can book a 3-cave trekking tour, which is definitely worth the money (especially since the entrance fee is €35). You can see the all tourist accessible cave but go through 2 more. The groups are smaller and the information more detailed.

Best known cave in the world and definitely worth a visit! Five kilometers are open to tourists– a small train takes you into the cave and you walk the final 1.5km. There’s a large hotel at the entrance to the park and many more places to stay in Postojna.
