Opatija is a Croatian coastal town on the Adriatic Sea. The town was a fashionable spa town in the 19th century and has many Habsburg-era mansions. The Lungamare is a seafront promenade overlooking the city and neighboring islands. The early 19th-century Villa Angiolina is set in a garden with exotic plants. The Croatian Tourism Museum is housed here. Parts of St. James' Church date from the 16th century.
