The Mundaneum is a museum and archive founded in 1910 by Paul Otlet (1868–1944) and Henri La Fontaine (1854–1943). The museum was housed in a wing of the Cinquantenaire Park in Brussels until it was transferred to Mons in 1998.

The Mundaneum, also called the internet of paper, has a collection of about six kilometers of paper. It contains significant collections such as the International Museum of the Press and personal notes by Otlet and La Fontaine. It is often described as the forerunner of Google and electronic search.

The Mundaneum was founded in Brussels in 1898 with the ambitious goal of compiling all of human literature as a bibliography. After several moves, the extensive collection finally found its current home in Mons. Whether written documents, posters, photographs or much more - here you can learn a lot about the cultures of the world.
