The mill was first mentioned in 1596 as the Mittlere Mühle.
The mill operation ended in the early 1960s. In 1995, the then uninhabited property burned down, was renovated in 2001 and now serves as a residential building.
Around the property there are many boards with wise sayings and a game reserve, which was only inhabited by very aggressive geese when I visited.
