In a recording by Leonhard Küppers from Myhl dated March 21, 1851, it is said that the first cross had been in danger of falling over for many years. On March 28, 1851, this cross was replaced by a wooden cross. The current crucifixion group was erected in 1893. In the past, a procession would set off from the parish church to Schwanderberg at 3 p.m. on Good Friday.
