Hiking
This historic mill is the oldest of its kind in the Rhineland; it received its first concession in 1676. After it was destroyed by a flood shortly afterwards, it was rebuilt in 1700. Until 1948 she pressed oil from linseed, rapeseed, beechnuts and poppy seeds. The mill is well preserved and restored and definitely worth a look.

There is an oil mill on the Wied, which received its first concession from Kurköln in 1676, but was destroyed by a flood four years later. From the reconstruction in 1700 comes the oak drive mechanism of the edge gear. This is the oldest preserved oil mill of this type in the Rhineland. It was in operation until 1948 and produced oils from linseed, rapeseed, beechnuts and poppy seeds.
