This is where the 23 km long Tielenau rises, which flows through some moor areas and flows into the Eider.

The Tielenau is a left tributary of the Eider, a small meadow river that measures about 23 kilometers from its source in the district forest of Welmbüttel to its confluence with the Eider. At the mouth stood the Tielenburg, which was razed after winning the battle of Hemmingstedt in 1500 and can no longer be seen today.
