For 140 years, a Dutch mill could be seen from afar on the Opitzerhöhe. The last owner of the mill, built in 1847, was called Schubert, he sold it in 1896 to the Oberweißiger innkeeper Max Besser. In the spring of 1897 he had pioneers blow it up in order to use the stone material to build a large and beautiful hall for his “Recovery” inn. The current owners of the property had today's Dutch mill, which is very true to the original, rebuilt.

The tower windmill on the hill in Großopitz was rebuilt in 2014 as a residential building. The original stood in Großopitz on the outskirts of Weißig until 1880. It's nice to have that again.
