Here the road crosses the old Kolonnenweg, which today still marks large parts of the former inner German border. This path was made on the part of the GDR from very weather-resistant concrete slabs and served the GDR border troops to move their vehicles.

From here you follow the Kolonnenweg either in the direction of Käßlitz or Schweickershausen. Using the former border path you can always turn onto other paths and reach other destinations.
