Mountain biking
You stand in front of a locked barrier and no train is coming! I had to make myself known to the signalman in the little house. Thank God he saw me and the barrier went up. A beautiful experience like 100 years ago.

That is something different! This barrier is closed by default. In order to be able to pass the level crossing, you have to ring the bell at the small house next door - then the barrier will be opened specially. Unless a train is coming. ;)

Super annoying because it says you should shout, but no one ever hears, no matter what and how loud you shout. In other places there is a button, a telephone receiver or a telephone number, here nothing like that. I have often called and waited in vain. In the end it was easier to go through the closed barrier instead of parking the bike somewhere and looking for the right door with maybe a bell.
