The Moltkedenkmal was erected in 1893 at the end of the former Moltke-Allee (extended Fischerstraße) and converted in 1938 in the course of highway construction behind the sports field on a step platform. After 1945, the plaque with the portrait and the ball disappeared. The ball was found again and a newly cast plaque should be attached.

The memorial stood from 1893 to 1938 at the end of what was then Moltke-Allee (extended Fischerstrasse west of the motorway). In 1938 the Moltke memorial was moved to its current location as part of the construction of the motorway (behind the sports field).
Restored in 2019 under the direction of the Association for Home Care
