Mosborn is the youngest village in the Hochspessart and was founded 250 years ago by the Counts of Hanau- Münzenberg. Eight settler families were given 160 hectares of land for cultivation. When there used to be snow in the Spessart at an altitude of 450 m, cross-country skiing trails and a ski hut were set up. The ski hut has meanwhile become the Vesperhütte, which bears the funny name "dog hut". The many wooden houses, some built as passive houses, are striking. Responsible for this is an active local architect who strongly advocates ecological building. We wish you continued success with the modern wooden construction "Made in the Spessart"!
