The heart of the Mombeek valley consists of the Mombeek and the Oude Mombeek. The second, which is sometimes dry in summer, flows into the first. For a while they also run parallel. With floods, droughts, new floods and constant changes, a landscape is created that always looks a bit different and is home to an extensive range of flora and fauna. You walk along the streams, on boardwalks, on stream paths, in swamp forests, along wooded edges and a very diverse environment where agriculture is never far away.
