Numerous events take place on the town square in Traunstein.
The square is adorned with the Lindl fountain, among other things. The life-size figure was created in 1526 by "Master Stephan" (most likely the well-known Landshut sculptor and stonemason Stephan Rottaler) from red Ruhpolding marble, but the fountain chamber and surround made of oak were only replaced with white marble stain in 1646.translated by
