            The Granetalsperre is a dam on the Grane in the Harz Mountains.
            It is located in the Lower Saxony district of Goslar near the Langelsheim district of Astfeld.
            The dam, which was built between 1966 and 1969 and operated by the Harzwasserwerke, serves to supply drinking water, flood protection, increase low water levels and generate energy.
            It is the youngest dam in the Harz.
