Former Märbelmühle (Märbel = stone balls, used as bullets or toys) from 1771. Allegedly, Goethe visited this place in 1782 or at least passed by (sign at the house without indication of source). From another source: Built in 1765 for the processing of woodstones. Jewelery, cans, stick buttons and other decorations for the fine company were manufactured and sold (source: cfk-fossilien.de/kieselholz/)
