Unfortunately, the way is not, as actually planned to commit to Cochem, as there is a short time before a blockage (with diversion) because of a rock fall.

A section of the Moselsteig Trail has long been closed. But there is no reason to be seen, if you simply ignore the signs, you can follow the narrow path underneath the rocks through the vineyards undisturbed.
