About 600 years old is the property with today's castle Georghausen, which can look back on a colorful past. Around 1380, Knight Quade received the fishing rights over the Sülz from Count Wilhelm von Berg. The knight is said to have been the owner of the Mühlengut Georghausen. In 1820, Friedrich Leopold von Fürstenberg acquired the castle. His great-granddaughter Maria married Emanuel, the grandfather of the current owner Georg von Landsberg.

The castle has the character of a rural mansion and today houses a restaurant and the Georghausen golf club with an adjacent extensive golf course (international tournament facility). A wide avenue leads to the palace complex.
