From this highlight's location, there's no view of the valley. The view and the iron sandstone blocks depicted are from a considerable distance earlier and "on the other side" of the mountain, soon after you begin the "climb" of the Voortberg, coming from the chapel. In other words, the location is incorrect, but the view is always worthwhile, in any season. There are other viewpoints, for example, from the vineyard and from the lawn at the top (if you walk to the edge; see the photos).
