The Rentmauer is a ringwall on the Eichelberg above Rod an der Weil in an easterly direction. Although the Rentmauer was already described in 1909 in their dimensions, there were so far only a few finds and investigations. Due to several comparable facilities in the front Taunus local historians usually assume that the builders were Celts. Especially the stronger western wall is clearly visible in the terrain. In many places, the core of the stone drywall can still be seen.

It is assumed that it is a Celtic complex from the Latene period. A small, meaningless sign is on the dirt road above the facility, i.e. at the edge of the forest. In the meantime, my curiosity has driven me a little off the path into the forest and have been looking for more remains of the ring wall. So you can not only see the south-east corner of the system, but also the north-west corner. The many stones on the ground, which were probably built into the ramparts, provide a good orientation about the course.
