Aussichtspunkt Kleine Kanzel

The Gasthaus zur Kleine Kanzel (1,092 meters) is the highest point on the Hohe Wand that can be reached by car. With excellent home-style cooking (delicious farmer's feast!), Guests enjoy a wonderful panoramic view from the sun terrace from the Schneeberg to the Vienna Basin. The forest nature trail and game reserve are also in the immediate vicinity, as is the toboggan run. The inn can be reached on foot in 2.5 hours from Grünbach train station.
Opening times: all year round, closed on Tuesdays

The inn was not open, but there are three fully stocked snack and drink machines by the entrance, which also sell hot drinks and soup. In the parlor you can warm up for a moment. It's nice up there and the view is beautiful. Popular rest area at the end of Hohe Wand Straße with a great view of the Schneeberg.

In good weather there is an unobstructed view of Schneeberg and Rax. A nice place to take a break.

12.09.2018 - Wonderful view of the Alps, great Schneeberg panorama with a restaurant on the Hohe Wand. Located on the street. You can also walk. Not far from the nature park center. Parking is chargeable. Seating is available inside and outside. Offered are more Austrian food such as schnitzel, goulash and roast pork. Prices as usual, the service is nice. No cellphone reception, but Wi-Fi available. Definitely recommended for a visit to the Hohe Wand, since this restaurant is not as crowded as the others.

The inn is located on the highest elevation of the high road on the Hohe Wand (1,092m) and offers a beautiful view of the Schneeberg!

Nice panorama. Hut / inn was not open - there were “self-catering” machines ...

The webcam on the small pulpit of the Hohe Wand shows the original nature and wonderful views that characterize the nature park.

The inn is still closed. But three machines offer various cold and hot drinks. The hot chocolate is recommended. From here there is a magnificent view towards the Schneeberg.
