A very beautiful park surrounding the old town. Little remains of its former use as a defensive structure. Instead, it's a place to relax. Small monuments are scattered along the paths, waiting to be discovered. The city moat, with its floating duck houses, is a particularly lovely spot to unwind.

The beautiful ramparts are a must-see. On the waterfront promenade, you should definitely stop at the Martini Pavilion for a delicious (and very reasonably priced) drink, sit on the bench by the wall, gaze at the water, and soak up the sun. You'll feel truly good about yourself.
The promenade leads back to the ramparts, and you can enjoy a lovely little circular walk. Be sure to stop in the Schnoor quarter; it's absolutely enchanting with its narrow lanes and beautiful houses.
